The Gratitude of Grace

Greetings and blessings to you.

Today we will consider some insights about: The Gratitude of Grace.

Gratitude is a spontaneous and authentic response of saying thank you to life for the opportunity, each and every day, to live in the hope and happiness of our unfolding Divine good. Awakening to a deeper understanding of the gift of grace empowers us to live each day with the intention of thankfulness and the attitude of gratitude.

I am touched by the transforming power of grace when I live each day in the attitude of gratitude.

Mary awoke once again to a Monday morning with a now common feeling of dread. She didn’t want to go to work. She didn’t want to have to endure another week of working with Mavis. There was just something about Mavis that pushed her buttons. In prayer that morning the inspiration came to Mary to be thankful, have gratitude for Mavis. Her first response was: “What!” Then the insight developed that maybe Mavis was serving her in a higher spiritual purpose way, helping her to live, learn and grow. That she should not be angry at Mavis for “pushing her buttons” but thankful that in her interactions with Mavis she was being shown that she still had some buttons to work on.

Things change when we change the way we look at them.

Taking on that new attitude gratitude toward Mavis changed the way Mary approached her work and transformed her weekly work experience from negative to positive, constructive and empowering. Mary and Mavis were never really close and friendly but their relationship did become a means for Mary to live in the attitude of gratitude and experience transformation in many aspects of her life.

Ralph Waldo Emerson said: “Cultivate the habit of being grateful for every good thing that comes to you, and to give thanks continuously. And because all things have contributed to your advancement, you should include all things in your gratitude.”

Grace is our ability to see the opportunity and hope of good in all of our life experiences. Gratitude is a response to the awakened awareness that we have been blessed with all the Divine faculties, abilities and powers we need to explore, experience and express our Divine good, each and every day.

"When you have an attitude of gratitude you wake up saying thank you." - Maya Angelou

Gratitude fills us with thanks, thankfulness, and empowers us to live positive, hopeful and happy lives. Gratitude is good medicine for the soul, the mind and the body. The attitude of gratitude helps us see and find the potential good in everyone, all and everything, and regardless of how challenging life can we to response with an authentic thank you!

Until next week, the blessing and bounty of Divine good to you.
