I Have a Dream

Greetings and blessings to you.

This week we continue exploring a deeper understanding of the Divine faculties of Faith, and Imagination, and our empowerment to behold, believe and become a more authentic expression of our Divine potential.

Like Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. we all have a dream. We all have within us the faculty to dream, envision and to form ideas that empower us to behold the Divine good prepared for us. Endowed by the Divine faculties of imagination and faith we like Dr. Martin Luther King are inspired to have a dream, and aspired to make our dreams come true.

“Dream lofty dreams, and as you dream, so you shall become. Your vision is the promise of what you shall one day be; your dream, your ideal, is the prophecy of what you shall at last unveil.” James Allen

Imagination and faith are powerful partners in our quest for a deeper experience and greater expression of our Divine good. The aspects of our Divine faculty collaborate to enable and empower us to behold and believe the Divine good we dream and desire to be and become.

By imagination we are inspired to behold the infinite Divine potential we are, and by faith we are aspired to believe the abundant possibility of our lives. To the degree that we are able to behold and believe, we are able to endeavor to be and become. Empowered by these Divine abilities we are ready and able to be responsible and response-able to make our dreams come true.

One of my favorite stories about Charles and Myrtle Fillmore and their cofounding of Unity is about the development and construction of Unity Village. For me the envisioning of the project, the acquisition of the land, and the determined process of the development of Unity Village is an inspiring demonstration of the powers of imagination and faith. The accomplishment survived the challenging times of both the Great Depression and World War II. At a time during construction a fear of lack of funding came to the attention of Myrtle Fillmore. She responded with this encouragement: “Our fear should not be that we run out of funding; our fear should be that we run out of faith.” What encouragement, to again return to the powers of faith and imagination, and to persevere in the pursuit of our dreams. To continue from day to day to behold and believe the good we desire, and to remain strong in faith, to persevere until we make it; to faith it, till we make it.

May you have a dream for a greater demonstration of your Divine good in 2018. May you come into a deeper understanding and fuller realization of your Divine powers of Imagination and Faith. May you be inspired to behold and believe, and aspired to be and become responsible and response-able, to make your dreams come true. May you faith it until you make it.

“Whatever you ask in my name that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it.”  John 14:13-14 NRSV

Affirmation: Strong in faith, I behold, believe and persevere to become, the Divine truth and good prepared for me.

Until next week, the blessing and bounty of Divine good to you.
